What we store
Your account details (name, email, and a securely hashed password handled by our login provider, Neon Auth).
The text of the notes you turn into sets, the summaries and flashcards made from them, and your study progress.
Basic usage counts (how many AI actions you used today) so we can keep Kodigo free and fair for everyone.
What we don't store
PDF and PowerPoint files are read on your phone. Only the extracted text is sent to us; the files themselves never leave your device.
Photos of your notes are shrunk on your phone, sent once to read the text, then discarded. We never save them.
AI providers
To make summaries and flashcards, the text of your notes is sent to third-party AI services: Google (Gemini), Groq, and OpenRouter.
These services' free tiers may use the data they receive to improve their models. Please don't upload sensitive personal information such as ID numbers, medical records, or passwords.
Security
Your data is only reachable through our server after you log in, and every request is limited to your own data. Bot protection is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account anytime in Profile → Delete my account. This removes your account, sets, cards and progress.
Shared sets and profiles
If you share a set by link or publicly, anyone who can see it can view its title, summary, cards, your username and display name. Your email is never shown.
Shared sets are checked by our AI screener and Google Safe Browsing (links only). Reports you send are seen only by admins.
